The Benson Creative District is proud to partner with
Benson High School’s art department to help connect students with real-world creative opportunities in the neighborhood they are already a part of.
Through exhibitions, publications, design projects,
and public-facing collaborations, this partnership helps students build experience, visibility, and stronger connections to Benson’s creative community.
The Carrot
The Carrot is a student-led publication developed in collaboration with the Benson High School art department. It combines a literary magazine featuring student writing and artwork with a neighborhood guide that includes a curated business directory and community events calendar, positioning students as contributors to Benson’s public-facing identity.

Advertising Opportunities
Local businesses and community partners can support student work by purchasing ad space in The Carrot. Ad sales help offset production costs and keep the publication accessible while giving students the experience of working on a real community-supported publication.
