Saint Paul Benson was founded in 1930 as a merger of three existing Methodist churches in the surrounding area. Church folklore gives credit for the naming of the church to a small child who, when each child in Sunday School was given a slip of paper and asked to write their suggestion for a name, wrote “If it’s going to be a church, let’s call it St. Paul.”
Through the years, Saint Paul has been known for active support of the Benson neighborhood, a diversity of small group ministries and outreach to new neighbors.
